ABOUT BEYOND VEILED STARS

I graduated magna cum laude from the University of South Carolina in 2015 with a double major in English and International Studies. For five years, I worked as a copywriter and editor in the marketing space, but my true love has always been writing about entertainment and pop culture.

I was born and raised in a southeastern suburban town and found myself on the outside looking in more oftentimes than not. My first brush with the nerd scene came in 1999 when I was handed a Harry Potter book for the first time. That same year, I found myself watching episodes from the 3rd season of Sailor Moon when it was still airing on Toonami. People who knew me growing up would rarely find me without my face partially obscured by some fantasy novel or another. Today, I am an avid D&D player and convention attendee, a TV and film enthusiast, a lover of everything sci-fi and fantasy, and an aspiring author.

 

Beyond Veiled Stars is an inclusive and welcoming fandom blog by a nerd for nerds of every race, gender, creed, and ethnicity. I want to cultivate a supportive community built on a common enjoyment of fandom in its myriad forms. This is also a place where fan creators and creators of original content that fall into the fandom niche are invited to promote their work!
